RALEIGH’S RED TRUCK FILMS MOVES AHEAD WITH NEW DIRECTORS, NEW PRODUCERS
New Image Already Reaping Rewards
RALEIGH, North Carolina (April 15, 2005) – Red Truck Films, one of the leading commercial production companies in the Southeast region, has announced the appointment of two executive producers. Garye Costner, who has a strong history with the company as a director/director of photography, takes on the role of executive producer. Joining him is Jim Riche, a nationally-respected executive producer and director, specializing in visual effects. Riche was most recently president of Cibolo Films.
Red Truck’s CEO, Tom Waring, said of the new appointments, “Garye’s expertise, natural ability to understand clients’ needs and work with the entire production team makes his transition to executive producer an obvious step; it’s a recognition of his talents. Jim Riche brings many years of national experience to the company and a creative, fresh approach to the development of Red Truck’s new image.”
Costner has worked on hundreds of high-end commercial shoots in recent years, having started his profession working on former President Jimmy Carter’s election eve show. His clients include major broadcast companies such as National Geographic TV and WNET/Boston, as well as advertising agencies and brand names such as Sprint, IBM, and Fannie Mae. Riche’s credits include commercials for major clients including Fila (Superbowl 1997), Coca-Cola, Ford, and Continental Airlines. He was originally based in New York and Washington DC where he developed his skills as head of production for the legendary production company, Broadcast Arts (Pee Wee’s Playhouse’). He later produced opening spots for ‘The Late Show with David Letterman.’
The new positions are a further enhancement to the company’s expansion and growth. The addition of a new team of commercial directors to Red Truck’s existing roster was recently announced, implemented by Jim Riche. The new signings have already resulted in the award of a major national TV commercial spot to be shot in Charlotte in the next few weeks.
Rounding out the new team is the appointment of Jim Miller as the new sales representative for the South East. Miller has excellent credentials and contacts in the world of advertising, and will bring additional business to the new-look Red Truck.
Waring adds, “Our goal is to better service the needs of the regional market here in the South East. Bringing in national-level talent is a great way to show that we mean business. We are stronger than ever and we are looking forward to a tremendous future.”
