DISTILLERY PICTURES PRODUCES TELLY AWARD-WINNING VIDEO

Raleigh, N.C. – Distillery Pictures produced an award-winning video for The Greater Raleigh Convention and Visitors Bureau, earning a 30th Annual Bronze Telly Award in the Film/Video category.

Founded in 1979, the Telly Awards is the premier award honoring outstanding local, regional, and cable TV commercials and programs, the finest film and video productions, and groundbreaking web commercials, videos and films. Winners represent the best work of the most respected advertising agencies, production companies, television stations, cable operators, and corporate video departments in the world.

ODD Fellows commissioned Distillery Pictures to help launch the new logo for their client, the Greater Raleigh Convention and Visitors Bureau, through a video that showcased the new logo and simultaneously highlighted various fun and unexpected attractions in Raleigh. 

Distillery Pictures producer, Matt Hightower, worked closely with Neil Hinson of ODD Fellows in planning and executing multiple shoots that deeply explored many of Raleigh’s facets including nightlife, outdoor events, music, festivals, academics, as well as historic locations and events.  Distillery Pictures’ sister company, Serious Robots, provided the graphics and editorial for the video, cutting the footage into something cohesive, and creating the dynamic 'living logo' that served as a skeletal storytelling device.

Neil Hinson commented on the Telly Award winning success of the video, “I think it's the great work Distillery Pictures and Serious Robots did with the animation and making it fluid, simple and fun that stood out to the Telly judges.”
