Woody Durham was in our studios recently recording the audiobook version of his autobiography, Woody Durham: A Tar Heel Voice. The book covers Woody’s career as the “Voice of the Tar Heels” from 1971 until his retirement in 2011. Woody was the play-by-play radio announcer for The UNC Chapel Hill football and basketball teams and it was a special treat to hear his familiar voice telling his own story for a change. Woody’s wife Jean said “Woody had really wanted to do this audio for a while; but kept postponing it because he did not think it was going to be anything but drudgery.  However, he was pleasantly surprised and thoroughly enjoyed the experience.” The unabridged audiobook is available through Audible.com, Amazon, and iTunes.
