Amazing news from our team here at Trailblazer Studios as our docu-series TWICE BORN Stories From The Special Delivery Unit was just nominated for an Emmy Award. The original series was produced for PBS and has been nominated at the News and Documentary Emmy Awards in the Outstanding Science and Technology Programming category.
With unprecedented access to the world of prenatal surgery at The Children’s Hospital of Philadelphia, this three-part documentary series follows a team of ground-breaking surgeons who are pushing the limitations of medicine to save unborn babies from otherwise life-altering birth defects. The series also offers an intimate look at several families as they navigate the emotional challenges of trying to save a baby still in utero.
Twice Born is the creative work of Trailblazer Studios Executive Producer Monica Lange and Co-Producer/Senior Editor Bonnie Cutler-Shear. This is not the first time these two have worked together nor the first time they have been nominated at the Emmy Awards. Lange won the Academy’s Television With a Conscience Award for her documentary “Unlocking Autism” on Discovery Health, and Cutler-Shear won the Best Editing Award for “The Pigeon Murders” on National Geographic.
Don’t miss TWICE BORN: Stories From The Special Delivery Unit, available on Netflix and Amazon Prime.
